I called my mom the other night to talk. I asked her what dad was doing and she replied that he was frying some bacon and eggs. Dad is 87 and has had a fairly steady diet of this his entire life.

Chocolate covered bacon has been a popular item the past few years at the state fair here.

It's the combination of sweet and salty that is tasty. Similar to a sundae or candy bar with salty nuts. Wife and I were talking about trying bacon bits in some chocolate chip cookies.

I have had great tall house chocolate chip cookies with bacon bits. Mighty tasty. Also brownies with bacon pieces.
