Tithing? Deep waters?

You mean shallow puddles.

Actually, at a landmark conference, I heard Jerry Jones blast it as a "salvation tax" about 20 years ago.

I was a bit taken back, because I was a tither at the time.

Hey bro., I think they know what it is....a tax.

Far more devastating than a governmental tax.

I was scared of not paying it in my first 10 years.

Tithing is deep brother. The reason people think 🤔 tithing is shallow is because they don’t know the truth. The reason they don’t know the truth is because tithing is not typically taught, it is said.

The reason it is not typically taught, is because it is a somewhat unique doctrine in that the more it is compared to the scripture, the more it is undermined, by the scripture. . . .

Typically. . . .

Just sayin

My first redpill on tithing was finding scripture that referenced the "Eating of the tithe"...I was like "Whaaaaaat?"

"Oh yeah it was food because they didnt have money back then."

"So why does it say I can sell my tithe and take the MONEY and buy whatever my heart desires?"

"Crickets"

Crickets are sometimes the most honest answer they can give.

Crickets don’t have to quote scripture.

Crickets are sometimes a sign that you have made a valid point.

Besides crickets 🦗 make excellent bream bait.

🦗 🦗 🦗

Crickets are kinda peaceful.

The cesspool tithing doctrine is deeper than any one I can think of. It has run off more saints and sinners than any doctrine introduced in Christendom to this day.

Witness to the sinner on the street, and what is his first line of defense?...."all the church wants is your money, it is a business" etc.

Real deep.

Just because a sinner's not right does not make him wrong.

Those of you who tithe are NOT wrong: neither are you who refuse to tithe. It's
that you have not discovered the scriptures to support your tithing (or lack
thereof). Consider that everything is based on faith. If you feel led to tithe,
then do it. If you DON'T feel led to tithe, don't. Either way, if you think that I
should tithe, or not, IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!

I guess the same could be said for drunkenness, adulterers, liars, murderers, etc.. Thieves, extortioners, tithes teachers, coveters, all of which are salvation issues. We are supposed to witness to the lost. That is what we do.

So it is my business. Are you being gripped by the power of conviction?
