Correct me if I am wrong, I think church discipline is the responsibility of the elders/Pastor of the church. But if someone wrongs me, I should go to them and try to work it out. If we cant work it out (the person remains in sin and won't repent), then I should talk to the church elders and go to the one I think has wrong me with the church elders. If this person will not repent then it should be brought to the attention of the church. If the sin is grievous, such as fornication or adultery, the elders can disfellowship the offender.

I agree I did not want us to exclude ourselves from the promises in the last two or three verses of the scripture you presented.

Nobosy here has thoughts on the OP. Ok then.

And what’s with that guy posting in my threads? He has to know by now that I don’t like him.

Same. Is it a valid point?

You can't root out hypocrisy and all messengers are flawed. It's absurd to disregard the message just because the messenger. If we did then everyone would disregard the gospel.

Re: Don’t judge someone because... something.

How about “Don’t judge someone else’s sin without first judging your own”? I believe that would be more valid. Original quote assumes that the one judging is also sinning and seems to insinuate that there is no righteous judgment. Just another quote from a generation that doesn’t want to be held accountable.
