Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral
Thanks CC1 for the report. I was hoping you would share with us.
All those songs are some of my favorites even today.

I read today that the lady who sang with Jesse Dixon was Babbie Mason.
Oh, I wish I could have gone to hear all that wonderful singing.
What a wonderful tribute to such an awesome talented woman.
Miss Dottie Rambo will be sorely missed.

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral
My sincere apologies to all. I did get carried away and my comments, being on this thread, were inappropriate. Please forgive me.
My life has been greatly impacted through the life and ministry of Miss Dottie Rambo. I have the utmost respect for her memory and legacy and I thank the Lord for the tremendous work that He has performed through this great woman of God. Only eternity will truly tell the impact that she has made throughout this planet, not only in past generations, but even in generations to come. May God continue to work through the music, legacy and family of Miss Dottie Rambo.
We'll miss you always,
Pastor Robbie

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral
Pastor Robbie B I appreciate your apology but hey there is nothing with being passionate about your views,we all just have to watch what we say and when we say it.
But we must all make sure we stay saved and keep on preaching One God and Acts.2:38 as I don't intend to lay those down.

As pianoman had mentioned Larry Dalton played Dottie Rambo songs on the Grand Piano before the funeral started. It was a full house at Christ Church and I was lucky to get a seat in the balcony as I arrived just before the funeral started.
Notables at the funeral or involved in it that I did see were;
Barbara Mandrell
Andre Crouch
The Crabb Family
2 of The Oak Ridge Boys

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral
I hate to ask this CC1 but was there an open coffin?
I bet the presence of God was very very evident there in that place.
I think the Elms from the UPC are related to Dottie? Does anyone know for sure?
CC1 did you see any skirt people there?
