I prefer Pentecostal, because that's at least something people have heard of. Most people don't have a clue what you mean when you say you're Apostolic. And they usually can't pronounce it or spell it.

I would agree as the word Pentecostal is more generic. This place has had several names but choosing Apostolic def IMO was and is more a confusing term than Pentecostal.

I still think of the Nicene Creed at times when I hear "Apostolic."

"... one holy, catholic and APOSTOLIC church..."

But, the move by so many... uh, "Legalists" ... to force a cookie cutter style of conformity to their own brand of "Apostolic" does make this forum a refreshing oasis of light and truth in a world dusty with compromise.
