Gotta love folks "newsflashes."

I even heard something about a bunch of Jewish folks being baptized in Jesus Name.

Why would someone say that if it wasn't true?!!

I don't get it. But then I'm not getting a lot of things lately.

My source was talking about this too and in the context that "If it is true...then..."

WHY??? Cmon Felicity, you aren't that wet behind the ears...you know folks coming out of the mainstream is a message that legitimizes the Apostolic movement...

Carpenter, if you think the only folks with such stories are Apsostolic then I think you are sadly mistaken. I would probably not agree that these stories are all about validation. The cynic may think so. Some of those in the movement see such things as the work of God. Sometimes it proves to be true, ya know?

No, I'm serious. I'm not so cynical yet that I can believe a preacher would just make up a story to validate the AO movement.

I judt can't believe a preacher of good reputation would make up a lie for that reason.

But then what is wrong with me? A lot of things I don't understand lately!

Well, because this is an Apostolic forum and I have never been in the Baptist church, I feel I can comment on the Apostolics alone.

We all have seen numbers being blown out of proportion. Consider the unsaid but inferred statement... "If Baptists, muslims, Methodists, and Jews come to Jesus our way then our way must be the right way.

I would consider that some of this news is correct and the work of God, you just have to reduce the numbers by about 9 or 90%.

The problem is that too many times, one becomes many.

So then you really believe that this preacher intentionally LIED. It couldn't simply have been a mistake? A misunderstanding? An exaggeration that got out of hand?

I've seen a lot of bad things over the past few years. Seen preachers intentionally lie and accept lies and I still have a hard time believing that good Godly men will do this kind of thing. Still have a hard time accepting it.

What's wrong with me anyhow?

But then, I've always been like this. Refusing to believe the worst about somebody unless there was proof. Even when it was happening to me/us!
