Southern Gospel

Anyone like Southern Gospel?
I was dating an American in the late Eighties, and even though it didn't work out, she got me hooked on Southern Gospel.
I am sure in Heaven when it talks about is singing around the throne-it is going to be "Southern Gospel!"

This video is of my favourite group-Gold City Quartet. I saw them when they came to our city at a Church in our neighborhood about ten years ago.
Gold City is based in Dahlonega, Georgia.

Here is a Video of them at Bill Gaithers Homecoming Series.

Any other Southern Gospel lovers out there?

I don't like Southern Gospel at all. It's almost as bad as country music.

I am not a redneck and I am not really a southerner...I am a city slicker and love rock and roll as well as contemporary and classical...actually I like all music better than southern gospel with the exception of rap!

What has this world come too?
Could this be the big slide into the Abyss?

Ron this is indeed an old copy. Most of those are no longer in the group.

Unless they have recently moved they are from Gadsden, Al.

God does not dwell in bluegrass or twanging Geee-twars.

Not that 4 part harmony is not a great sound. Not all "Southern Gospel" is either.

Gold City is one of my favorites. I bought a 25th anniversary 2-CD pack and love it.
