It is paid for by the Inaugural Committee. Not funded by taxpayers.

If a Republican were spending that much money in this economy, the MSM would be making this story headline news every day and they would be talking about how the Republicans are all about the rich and privileged.

Remember when the Democrats bellyached about the cost of Bush's inauguration 4 years ago? Four years ago, the Associated Press and others in the press suggested it was in poor taste for Republicans to spend $40 million on President Bush’s inauguration.
