Good for him!

While elected office is certainly no place to push pet apostolic holiness doctrine, it is entirely appropriate to push basic CHRISTIAN values and he is doing that in spades.

I certainly don't mind his faith background. And I'm glad he went about citizenship the correct way. The difference, though, in the political realm, will be whether he can take everything thrown out on the table and mold something for the better, something practical.

I recall former AG John Ashcroft catching a lot of flack for his faith, given that he is of the AOG faith. There was even a segment on ABC World News Tonight (anchored then by the late Peter Jennings) specifically discussing "Pentecostalism" in great detail, with video shots of a church service.

Don't be surprised if we see the same targeted on this young man. But, I certainly welcome his intent on representing the people of AZ...
