"The majority of Republicans now approach natural disasters as political fodder, another opportunity to push for massive cuts to other domestic spending. Tax cuts to the wealthy? Why, those pay for themselves. Rebuilding destroyed communities populated by millions of Americans? Only if you cut other government programs."
Let me guess, it would be to socialist to help out the Sandy victims? Or no where near Gulf oil. Billionaire tax cuts OK. Helping natural disaster victims not OK.

"Tax cuts for billionaires" that is such a Kool Aid statement!!! I'm nowhere near being a $100,000-aire and my taxes went up last year and the year before---ALL of us lost our tax cuts!!! We're all paying more and Democrats want to spend even more!!! Where's the money for Sandy victims? Oh that's right, we have to borrow that from China to give it to them!!! That's not socialism---thats COMPLETE INSANITY!!!

Im New to AFF. But i have One Question, How are Questions Such as these Going to Bring us any Closer to GOD? Shouldn't we be Encouraging, Uplifting and Exhorting one another Learning More and More about Gods Word? Its a Shame to See so called Born again People Talking about the most Foolish Worldly Things. This morning for the First time i Prayed that God Brings Persecution Upon Christians Speedily! I believe with all my Heart that those that are Just Playing Church are going to Fall Away. AND the True Worshipers are going to Be the Only Ones Left!

I haven't read this bit of propaganda yet but let me say that OFTEN times what happens is the Democrats (of if the shoes were reversed the Republicans), tack on to the bill other unnecessary expenditures not even related to the storm victims and sometimes not even in that state to begin with.

And let me guess...YOU are one of the TRUE worshipers...
We are told as Christians to pray that we live a quiet and peaceable life...some of the greatest voices in American history were engaged in the political process and worked hard and paid with blood our right to worship freely and without interference. Call it worldly if you want, but you should care as a Christian what your government is doing. You should care about challenges to your Constitutional rights. You should care that there is an agenda that is secular, anti-Judeo/Christian values and bent on fundamentally changing our culture.
Silent Christians allowed the Nazis to take a Christian nation that birthed the Reformation down the road to the Holocaust and world war that left 60 million dead. Many churches and clergy and Christians in Germany said nothing in the face of tyranny. THAT'S worldliness!
When Paul was treated unfairly and unjustly he engaged himself into the laws of the Roman Empire and demanded an appeal before Caesar.
The Gospel can only change the human heart. But we shouldn't be ignorant of what is going on in our communities, our states and our nation. I believe we have a responsibility to speak up and to do all we can to influence every facet of society, including politics.

Paul went to Rome to Die for Christ and to Spread the True Doctrine of Christ, He could have cared Less about Being Treated Unfairly. Acts 5:41 "And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name." After Getting Beat did they Go Call 911 or their Lawyer?, No they Left Rejoicing. Im Sorry but Voicing your Opinion Before Murderess Is Not Going to Change a THING, PRAYER, PRAYER, PRAYER and More Prayer Until You TOUCH the THRONE of GOD is the Only thing that is going to Change Anything.
I wonder what your going to do when the Persecution upon Followers of Christ Comes to America. Grab a Gun? Or Grab the Hem Of Gods Garment?.

You assume I don't pray. I can assure you I do. One can pray and debate. They arent exclusive exercises.
