Suicide

Please pray for John.

It appears that he is seriously contemplating suicide.

Re: Suicide

Lord Jesus, we lift up this man and ask you to come to Him in a supernatural way, protecting him, and comforting his heart from the thoughts that would cause him to seek to take his own life. Bring your peace and healing to the wounds in his mind, body and spirit, and we bind all evil spirits that are keeping him in bondage, and stand in faith believing in the power and deliverance of your Spirit and Name. We pray this in your Holy and Mighty name! Amen!

Re: Suicide

I rebuke that spirit in Jesus name. He needs deliverance.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Suicide

Thank you for your prayers. And I do apologize if I was not quick enough to post an update.

He seems to be OK now. If you remember his name in your prayers, please also pray for his salvation.
