who is another of the same kind as He (Jesus) is.

But, not only is Jesus coming inside, so also is the Father (John 14:23).
So, all Three will come inside.
Because, if you have One, you have all Three!

Look, the Trinity is almost incomprehensible!
(That I don't find it so is a miracle!)

But, it tests our belief-faith-trust in the Scriptures.
Can we be led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14) into believing NONSENSE?
That's what it's all about ... believing the word over our intellect.

Unbelievers see Jesus and His Gospel as foolishness (1 Cor 1:18).
They don't choose to see it this way ... they just cannot help it.

Re: NT verses about who Jesus was/is

Meanwhile we have 544 views about all 3 Persons of the Trinity
being mentioned in each of a number of NT verses
,
and no one is commenting on it ...

Wow, you are seriously confused!

"Jesus will come in the form of the Holy Spirit" is basically Oneness. But then you go on about the Trinity and "all three"? Why confuse a simple straightforward understanding of Scripture statements with post-apostolic catholic creedal "almost incomprehensible" metaphysical gobbledygook? It muddies the water.

The apostles nowhere set forth a "triune godhead" doctrine. So why is it now a "test of faith" to claim to believe what was set forth by councils of catholic bishops?

The last part is NOT in the NU manuscripts.
It was either added to the Textus Receptus,
or it was deleted from it.
Everyone knows the NU manuscripts are older.
Everyone knows the Textus Receptus is newer.
So, the last part is unreliable.

Nevertheless, Jesus went back into heaven ...
when He sent the Holy Spirit to replace Him on earth.

The One whom Jesus sent was "another" (John 14:16),
which is "allos", meaning "another of the same kind".
Check it out closely.

So much for intelligent discussion.

Re: NT verses about who Jesus was/is

BCSenior,
I think we are going in circles.
I think I have responded to your ideas of Trinity. For instance, to your latest posts in the other parallel thread you opened, you should relook at my post 24 and 25 of this thread.

You keep appealing to the need of an illumination of the Spirit for us about Trinity but you fail to see that the Spirit apparently failed to illuminate the apostles and the early church Christians.
Again, you can explain all the verses also with Oneness, I gave you an example about John 1 and also explained to you the general principle that explains the relationship between Jesus the Son of God and his Father.
Brother, the Trinity is not the mystery, is a false doctrine. If there is a mystery in our faith is how Jesus could be 100% man and 100% God as recognized by Paul:
[1Ti 3:16 KJV] 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Look at Tertullian complaining that the majority of Christian, even centuries after the apostles were modalist:

“The simple, indeed, (I will not call them unwise and unlearned,) who always constitute the majority of believers, are startled at the dispensation (of the Three in One), on the ground that their very rule of faith withdraws them from the world’s plurality of gods to the one only true God; not understanding that, although He is the one only God, He must yet be believed in with His own οἰκονομία .”

Trinity was not the belief of the apostles or early Christians. It came way afterwards.

Re: NT verses about who Jesus was/is

Let's look at all Three ... The Three "manifestations" of God

God the Father ... sits on the throne in heaven, co-Creator
... to be praised/worshipped/thanked

God the Son (the Word, Jesus, Messiah) ... co-Creator,
Sustainer, Savior, Redeemer, Giver of eternal life
... to be praised/worshipped/thanked

God the Holy Spirit ... Work-horse
... NOT to be praised/worshipped/thanked

Manifestations or modes or roles are terms we Oneness people are comfortable with. They don’t have distinct minds, it is just one person manifested in different forms for different purposes.
Do you agree with that?

So far so good, for you ... but, you REFUSE to believe this:

God the Word was with God the Father

John 1:1-2 NKJV
"In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God."

Give it up, pal ... you're toast.

Oh wait, you're right after all ...
The Word was with the Father in His dreams!
Yeah, that's it.
