Road Trip...ugh

Long story short, the folks at Uber Inc. have really knocked one out of the park and wont accept my insurance paperwork even though everything is in order. Im having to taken a 5 hour trip one way to New Orleans to visit a location that I cant call beforehand*cause they arent a call center* and hand in my paperwork by hand to be processed. To say Im livid is a major understatement. I dont even know if these jokers are open today but I really dont have an alternative.

Just need prayer for a safe trip for me and Katherine there and back.

That's awful that they're having you make that long trip
when you have it all in hand to give them already!
Praying for a safe trip there and back!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Oh man us too! The Uber driver support...they use foreign call center peeps as cannon fodder and you do NOT get past them. I was like,"Yall can clearly see EVERYTHING you need on these photos...they couldnt receive separate images*which is really really poor planning on their part* so I had to combine the multiple pages into one collage photo along with some creative folding of the separate sheets and STILL they kept rejecting and THEN right at the last they dinged me and kicked me off the service saying I had tried slipping in fraudulent paperwork. I had already told them I couldnt afford a unexpected 10 hour road trip and they just didnt care...lots of call scripts and apologies but unmovable....so I had to beg and borrow to head down to NOLA and if THAT didnt work I was going to act a fool on a Twitter video and tag Uber Support in it along with Lyft. Its underhanded but when they get called out in public they fall over themselves working on the issue to keep optics favorable...thankfully the brick and mortar office in NOLA were MORE than helpful and an absolute pleasure to meet. Only thing is that there is no number for that office...you have to come in person.

I was seriously fearing that I wouldnt be able to work at all...it put me in a really really bad dark place just everything rhats been happening and this was the cherry on top.

Really appreciate the prayers.

I did Uber/Lyft for a while and it was pretty good. You'll only get so far ahead but it's good when you need to make ends meet for a while.

Its a lot more about the flexibility than the money amount. When my wife has fibromyalgia flareups I have to be able to focus on her and taking a more active role in taking care of the kid. Its been an absolute God send. The money isnt bad here either. Im about to upgrade my vehicle so that I can go back to doing Lyft as well...be cruising on easy street then because for the last while Ive only been able to do Uber despite having started doing both.
