Re: d'addario verses ernieball cobalt

I read an article in a flat picken magazine some years back of a study by a bluegrass pro guitarist. His name is Steve Kaufman, he's on youtube. He experimented with many different strings for acoustic guitar. He said the best string for a long lasting deep tone is d'addario EJ17. They're a medium gage phosphor bronze string. I've been using them for about 17 years on my Sigma. There really good if your hands sweat a lot. They keep there tone for months. Give them a try.
