This is not the time to attempt to start a debate of this nature. Let's just leave her in the hands of a just God. He will decide her eternal destination, not us.

CC1- Thanks for being our reporter on the scene. I would have loved to have been there to honor a great lady of gospel music.

Just when I thought I'd seen the best of classlessness, here you come to take away the trophy.

Is God still on the throne, or have you thrown Him off by now?

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral

CC, I only knew her by name and that my mom had a record of hers, yet I'm familiar with so many of her songs and knowing how famous she was in the gospel music industry. That said, the rundown of the service made me wish I'd been there.

Please re-read admins notes.

Also, I know you don't want to talk about class.

Good day.

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral

Thanks for information CCI....
I was flying to another state today and we were thinking about the funeral. I remember her from years gone by...such a voice... I pray for those that remain.

And I Corinth 2v4 just leave her in the hands of a just God...pray for her family that is greiving tonight...this is the christian thing to do.

That admin note was for you and others who wish to post in the same manner. It wasn't for me because I'm not that low of a person.

Her and her husband started in the United Pentecostal Church in the 1950's and 1960's.

Then they moved on.

Was she saved?

Yes she was saved...

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral

The older recordings of The Rambos really have a neat sound to them much like the country recordings of that period, music wasn't slicked up like it is today.
The old nashville studio musicians of that day had a great more simplistic sound.
Too much too gain to lose is a classic.
There is some great upright bass playing on those recordings.
