I do agree that even if Trump weren't tweeting and even if he was well behaved and temperate, the press would still be doing all it could to rip him apart.

The press is incredibly awful and dishonest. Unfortunately Trump gives them a ton with which to use as ammo against him.

To me, Trump's flaw is that he is not ideologically driven. To him, his agenda is common sense based, and the fact that is ideologically conservative (much of it, anyway) is purely incidental. Sadly, this lack of ideological perspective keeps him blindsided about the evils of the Democrats and RINOS. This is why in the end he might be destroyed in trying to take them down. If Fox News is willing to dump profits and settle for 3rd place below the once floundering MSNBC, and if ABC is willing to dump the 2nd most popular show on TV because its conservative, there is no telling what other extreme measures the left will soon go to in order to smack the Trump voters back into line.

The left's new tactic includes confronting GOP anywhere they are, including at home. It also includes the usual threats and violence.

Remember Gabby Giffords, House Rep from Tucson who was shot years ago?

A man who works at a Tucson school was just arrested by the FBI for threatening GOP Rep Martha McSally. He left several voicemails, claiming her days were numbered and outright claimed he was going to shoot her.
