Re: Rev Keith Clark

I searched google for an obituary and cannot find one. That is pretty weird as they usually pop right up as almost all newspapers or funeral homes put them online.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I thought that was odd too. But, it was still listed over his photo.

Yup. I thought it was kind of interesting to see videos on Youtube of him preaching at different churches when I remember that years ago when he was preaching at the NMMC in Jackson, MS he would make a big show about telling the video cameramen to turn off their cameras even though the conference had contracted with the company to videotape the conference for sale later. That was before his time running JCM during which he shut down sports activities at the gym and also no video allowed anywhere. I did hear that he moderated somewhat years later regarding video.

That's because of his radical legacy I guess. It comes and goes with the territory and doesn't die when we do.

Re: Rev Keith Clark

Some people like to throw stones without knowing the back story of why a man of God might take some radical actions.
I'm glad there is only one Judge that I and Keith Clark have to answer to.
