Yes... God is logical in that he follows the mandates of his own word. God will not break his word. That is a logical approach when one follows a certain paradigm.
No... He does not follow HUMAN logic. Our logic is enmity against God. Our logic works against God.
Yes... God is logical... but his logic is not our own.

Can you give an example of "our logic" working against God?

Our logic says that if someone does me wrong I have the right to retaliate. In our carnal thinking it seems logical that I should have the right to "get them back" when someone does me wrong.
God's word instructs me to love my enemies and to do good to those who despitefully use me.

Ah. Not sure I'd call that logic, though. More like "our ethics" or something like that, and yes, there are a lot of counterintuitive things in that area, in the Bible.

So Tim,
please provide your understanding of the word 'logic' as it would pertain to God's (or any one's) responses or prompts to act.
thanks.

The reason I started this thread is that I have several times, on AFF and elsewhere, been told similar things to what D4T posted: that God is not bound by human logic. This often happens after I have tried to make a careful logical argument.
Got to run, but I'll try to provide examples later.

Tim, as I believe that the rules of logic are a reflection of the character of God He can not break them. He cannot make a square circle or make a rock so big He can't move it etc. Aristotle didn't invent logic; he discovered it......
