Oh that's terrible.

They are thinking it was a guy that use to work at the station and had asked her out and she turned him down.

I hope they catch whoever it was. I doubt she ever regained consciousness to tell them who it was.

Whoever did this to her didn't want her to ever speak again. They knocked out all her teeth and used the claw side of a hammer to open up her throat.

Just brutal.

Re: Arkansas TV Anchor Dies

I'd followed the story closely all week. We'd prayed for her healing and for her family's strength and comfort during this time. We were heartsick tonight to hear of her death.

The heinousness of this crime has captured our state and really shaken the community around LR. It was the degree of violence that was used that really enraged people. It's a crucial case for the LRPD to be able to bring to justice.

A rescue team at the site of the Oklahoma City bombing painted this phrase on a building during their search through the rubble. It kept coming to me tonight.

"We search for the truth. We seek justice. The courts require it. The victim cries for it. And God demands it."

I know I will cause a few to doubt my christianity with this but when they do catch this monster I hope they do more than just lock them up and throw away the key. I hope they give them the death penalty. A person who would do this deserves to pay as high a price as they extracted from the victim. Nothing to do with feeling it is 'christian' or 'Godly' just that it is a horrible crime and the punishment needs to match. Maybe others will not be so ready to do similar things if they know they will die as punishment.

My co-workers wife who is a nurse in that hospital said she was dead on arrival, she has just been on life support all this time.

I have had to pull the plug before, it took me three days. Not an easy decision.

I'm really sorry to hear that Scotty. As for this story, it is despicable. I don't know how anyone could do this to an animal, let alone a person, for any reason.

There are no words to describe how this makes me feel. Lord help her family through this time. In Jesus name, Amen.
