Rowan County Clerk- Apostolic Christian

Need to pray for this Sister taking a stand. She describes herself as an "Apostolic Christian". I also work in a County Clerk's office and issue marriage licenses regularly. This is a real threat to religious liberty and a real opportunity to take a stand for truth! May God give light to His Church in a dark time!

Re: Rowan County Clerk- Apostolic Christian

As our culture rapidly dissolves into a society with no morals I believe it is going to be harder and harder for Christians to uphold biblical principles. There will be many more jobs like this one that Christians won't be able to hold because of the conflict with moral principles.

My pastor mentioned today how disappointed he is that so many churches have just rolled over on the homosexuality issue with the attitude that if the government has now ruled gay marriage legal that somehow negates what the bible says.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Absolutely true. We live in a small town in WV and there are people backing up on the issue that I never would have dreamed. I have informed my employer that I will never issue a marriage license to a same gender couple.

Isn't your church a public access 501c3?
