I really like Jeff Arnold. I purchased one of his books 3 months ago. I haven't finished reading it, but he's answered so many questions. I was in service with him around two months ago. We have many similarities in thought processes...I never met a man I could say that about. lol

He mention he preached in Whittier recently. He is pretty crude sounding when he preaches but to each his own.

Re: Louisiana camp meeting

The thread title was a little misleading as most probably thnk Louisiana Campmeeting meant the Louisisana District UPC Campmeeting not the Jerry Cox Faith Taberacle campmeeting. I did a double take at first because I knew the UPC campmeeting is always around the July 4th timeframe.

Regarding this campmeeting in addition to the speakers listed Mark Yandris is part of the music portion. Mark is a former participant of AFF.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I love that he's unique in his way. He tells it like it is and doesn't care what others think. The man does have supernatural signs following him, so when know he's used of god.

It’s his personality. The first time I heard him I could not believe the things he was saying. Glad I stayed til the end. He’s actually kinda funny.
