Anyone Familiar With Chattanooga, TN area?

My husband and I are going to be taking a weekend trip to the Chattanooga, TN area in a couple months and we would like to maybe rent a small cabin while there. Do any of you know of any nice, reasonably priced cabin rentals that you've personally stayed at? I've looked at a few websites, but I thought if I could get some info from some folks who have actually been to some, that I could get a better choice. Thanks for any help you can offer.

My recollections of Chattanooga:

- my husband got food poisoning
- I loved Rock City
- it was the first time I'd worn pants in public (1991)

That's about all I remember. LOL! Not much help here!

Let me rephrase this....
It was the first time I'd worn pants in public in about 15 years. I used to wear them all the time as a young teen.

I'm headed kind of near there as well next month (or early Oct). Winchester, Sewanne and the Cumberland Plateau - Lord willin', if the devil don't hinder and the creeks don't rise.

I too, will be wearing pants in public.

Don't know too much about what to do for "fun."

Re: Anyone Familiar With Chattanooga, TN area?

Chattanooga is near the headquarters church of an organization I am ordained with --The Churches of Jesus Christ International. The church is located at 800 Benton Pike, N.E. Cleveland, TN 37311 but mail from there is postmarked Chattanooga.

I've never been to Cleveland or Chattanooga, TN.
I keep thinking I'll drive down to the headquarters church some time before I get too old. It's about 6 hours from here I think.

El Chico!!! But it's been almost 20 years, so I'm sure they've cleaned up their act! Eddie wouldn't eat at another El Chico for years.
