"Nothing Is Going To Change," said the Republican
Awww.
Aye bendito.
The Republicans are frustrated. Now that they control both the House and the Senate, they still can't get some things done. On the backdrop of the terrorist attacks in France, the Department of Homeland Security is about to be shutdown because the Republicans can't get things done.
They won't compromise, so they'll shut it down.
Their attitude is callous stating that most of DHS personnel will be forced to come to work any way. They just won't get paid until after the shutdown is over.
How would you like to work and not get paid because a bunch middle aged guys can't compromise with each other to help govern this country?
The rest of the story is linked below. If it wasn't for abortion, I'd probably be closer to recouncing by Republican membership!

JD, this is a two-way street. Stop blaming Republicans, again.
Quote:
Senate Republican leaders argue that, after three failed attempts, they cannot win approval of a House-passed DHS funding bill that challenges President Obama’s executive actions on immigration, because of Democratic resistance.
|
Remember when Democrats were passing bills in the Senate but Republicans wouldn't pass it in the House. You bashed Republicans back then for obstruction.
I want to see you do the same against the Democrats who are obstructing this bill from being passed. 3 times, JD, three times they've tried passing a bill, but Democrats this time are blocking it.
Don't blame the Republicans on this. This is squarely on the Democrats in the Senate who refuse to use the process of Amendments and are filibustering this bill.

So you're okay with gay rights/marriage and removing God from the public forum, along with other anti-family, anti-business, Democrat values?

Republicans have control of both the House and the Senate.
They can either learn to work with their counterparts, or take the blame for the next terrorist attack.

Sure why not? All it would mean to me is consistency for this already godless government governing a godless nation.

I also remember you stating back then that it wasn't the republicans fault back then either.
So when is it EVER their fault?
When will they be held responsible for their inability to compromise on anything to help govern this nation?

The same can be said about the Democrats. The Democrats had control of the House and Senate when obama was first elected and didn't pass a bill. What did you, they and obama say back then...you all called the Republican Party the "Party of No."
Why is it always the Republicans fault?
Nice! Resort to fear tactics. That's what Dems do best!
BTW...let's face the facts here; the Republicans have passed a bill in the House, but the Dems in the Senate are filibustering and aren't allowing it to pass in the Senate.
If the DHS loses funding or there's some terror attack, it won't be because Republicans didn't try. It'll be, well first because our intelligence absolutely sucks; but it will also be due to the Democrats blocking this bill.

It wasn't then. They tried bringing bills to the floor, but Harry Reid refused to allow them on the floor for a vote.
When will obama and the Democrats be held responsible for their refusal to compromise or work with Republicans to pass this bill?

The Republicans are the ones in control, not the Dems.
Their fault.
