IMPACT 09 Mississippi

If anyone is interested there are archived services of IMPACT 09.

I would like to hear everyones opinion. Last nights message just blew me away at some of the things the preacher said.

Basically that he would defend the right to shout. I guess he thinks there is a trend in the UPC to have less shouting. The tone of all the sermons seem to be of bringing back the power with exuberant worship and shouting and prayer.

Delta still looking for scripture on the exuberant worship and shouting and prayer in the bible I think that is what was going on in the Coritihian church when paul told them how to act......LOL

Re: IMPACT 09 Mississippi

I think the newer generation wants biblical explinations for the way the church services go and are asking questions..

Re: IMPACT 09 Mississippi

I guess there seems to be a trend toward more balanced church services without all the hype at a time when the UPC seems to be struggling and seeming to lose members.

Some might think that the UPC is slowly losing their identity and maybe even blaming the decline on a absence of strong doctrinal preaching on water baptism and standards and shouting and whatever else old time Pentecost was all about.

I find it fascinating that the same men who were the moderates two or three years ago have taken this sudden shift toward the right.
