How many other groups claim to follow the Word of God and modified the Bible?
The only ones who are fooled are themselves.

Plus they just come across as frauds to most people. "Oh, you got your own unique special Bible to support your peculiar beliefs? Hmmm, okie dokie..."

My post wasn't to you. It was to MtD and Aquila, who have made beards their hill to die on. So much so that it would keep them out of an apostolic church.

If your beard keeps you from church, the church isn't the issue. Period.

Jesus said indicated that the Pharisees and Sadducees made the Word of God of no effect on account of their traditions of men.

Let me fire a shot across the bow...

Are those who have departed from the Scriptures into the realm of teaching for doctrine the commandments of men truly even "Christian"?

A little leaven leaveneth a whole lump. Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees.

I never made that statement. Got a quote? Two things about that.

1. If they have the true Biblical foundation as I see it, it's possible I would go to one. Perhaps if they have at least more truth than the typical Apostolic Church.

2. What constitutes an "Apostolic Church"? Just because a Church believes in Acts 2:38 and Oneness...are they REALLY an Apostolic Church? Are we really Apostolic if all our foundation doctrines except Acts 2:38 are false?

Very astute observation. While Acts 2:38 is indeed an "Apostolic doctrine", meaning a doctrine of the Apostles, many of the traditions of man that are taught for doctrine today come from the various Oneness organizations that have been established.

Most are more "United Pentecostal" or "ALJC" than Apostolic.

Would that imply that those of us who reject the teaching for doctrine the commandments of men are actually more Apostolic than our friends who support and defend such traditions of man???

I've often wondered...

According to Jesus, is teaching for doctrine the commandments of men... a sin???
Matthew 15:9
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mark 7:7
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Matthew 15:6
Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

Mark 7:13
Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
And if it is a "sin"... then aren't those churches who do this, "in sin"? And if so... does that explain why that though tongues and interpretations, prophecies and visions, have all declared God's desire of unprecedented revival and the influx of souls... it has yet to happen???

Might God be waiting on His church to... repent of such sinful error?

Meanwhile a nation circles the drain. But at least there are no bearded men in the church!

What a sad state of affairs this would be if it is indeed true.
