Church Buildings

Some want fancy churches where the very look of a building so beautiful gives some small hint to the glory that God actually possesses and some want churches plain and bare, so that more focus can be given to truly heavenly things and some folks are in the middle finding the perfect balance in one of the shades of gray between.

Some plain and bare say the fancy are far to materialistic and some fancy say the plain and bare always hide the glory and material blessings of God from sight while both call those who see beauty in gray, compromisers.

What kind of church building do you find the most godly, the fancy, the plain and bare, or some shade of gray?

Re: Church Buildings

I would find a house church meeting most indicative of the will and nature of God.

The children of God meeting, breaking bread and breaking the bread of life as a family and having God there in their midst simply because 2 or 3 of His children met together in His name.

Simple.
Complete.
Effective.

Re: Church Buildings

The building I feel most comfortable in is not extravagant. It should be clean as a pin, and children's areas decorated so they LOVE to be there! The most important part of the "building" are the people who gather inside!
