well, if i understand you, that is the hardest step--if you are invested in the lie. Truth quickly becomes confused with facts, i think. Everyone claims to seek truth; but it is difficult to remove one's desires from this, and thus an agenda develops. I desire to feed my family; ergo, anyone else who eats may be viewed as a competitor. So this becomes "truth."
so one answer might be "tame your desires."
