Jesus did this and was without sin.

If Jesus was tempted, then this passage applies to His flesh:

James 1:14 says EVERY MAN. Was Christ a man? Yes. And when EVERY MAN is tempted it is because something in his flesh is enticed to sin.

He did not sin because He was walming in the Spirit ALL THE TIME.

So do you think Jesus was tempted to have sleep with Mary Magdalene?

Steal the bag from Judas?

Take Peter's sword and finish off the high priest's servant?

Which sin was he temped with?

I can not believe there is even a debate on this. It is soooo evident that Jesus/God in flesh could do everything. If the Bible is correct and Jesus was tempted the same as we then there was plenty of chances to sin, but He knew Adam sinned so He made up in His spirit that He would not. One of the main reasons He came here was to show us the way to heaven. Holy living.
AMEN AND AMEN. You got it, J!

We do not know which speciific SINS he was tempted to accomplish, but we are told He was tempted IN ALL POINTS like we are. There are THREE POINTS.

Quote:
Heb 4:15 KJV For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

1Jo 2:16 KJV For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
All these three points categorize every sin imaginable. And He was tempted in each of these three points, but never failed!

The question then is could Jesus have not walked in the Spirit?
The next question could Jesus have failed???????????
Was there a plan B? If He did?

ALL three point is seen in Mt. 4 & Luke 4. NO every sin imaginable there.

Temptations are dual they are from without and within. WE can all identify that there are certain temptations from without that has no corresponding factor WITHIN us. The temptation is real but it does not spark a life within us. Jesus had NO lusts though he was bombarded WITHOUT it had NO effect on his sinless nature within. How many times have you repented for a thought? I surely have many times do you see Jesus repenting over a thought?
Was he tempted to:
Steal?
Commit Adultery?
Lie?
Murder?
Bear False Witness?
Commit a homosexual act?
His temptation is found in Mt. 4 and Luke 4.
Heb 4:15 KJV For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

One can safely infer ... that the high priest we have FELT OUR INFIRMITIES ... AS HE FELT HUNGER, THIRST, AND TEMPTATION ...

The entire power of the Gospel relies on the power of God to save us from our old and wicked nature ... and make us new men and women in Christ .... Christ is this second Adam ...

The "temptation of Christ" was not a farce - it was for real. Satan didn't try to get Jesus to sin because he knew that it wasn't possible, but because he knew that it was possible.

The Messiah was tempted, truly tempted, but did not sin. He did for us what we cannot do for ourselves

He also had FLESH! He could try to be justified in that flesh or the Spirit.

There would be no Plan B if he failed. All would be lost. That is why John wept much because no man could take the sealed book and open it. If a high priest did not enter that most holy place in a sinless state, we would all be lost forever. But, Weep not, John. The lion of Judah hath prevailed! And John saw a LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN, ad STOOD! Resurrection victory over death because he sinned not!

The temptation was certainly real it is seen in Mt. 4 & Luke 4 but it was from the OUTSIDE not from the inside.

So then it was predestinated Jesus could NOT have failed then that says he could not have sinned.
