Colts Beat My Titans
Well, my Tennessee Titans almost pulled it off. We lost yesterday to the Indianapolis Colts by just two points, 22-20.
A very tough game that I knew would we had just a slight chance to win. At the end everything did fall into place for us, with a 1:38 left on the clock, to drive down the field from the 20 yard line far enough for Rob Bironas to kick us a game winning field goal.
However the Vince Young / Offensive Line magic died out on a fourth down and four play to keep the drive alive and the Colts won by two points.
I really like Coach Dungy and Payton Manning so if we have to lose to anybody I am glad it was a team considered one of the top two teams in the NFL and also by guys I like!
Hopefully the second time we meet them later in the year will be a reply of last year and we will win that one.
However my Longhorns in the College ranks and my Dallas Cowboys won!!!!
The Vols got creamed but I have no emotional ties there. Just trying to be a good Tennessean rooting for them.

I'm in mourning today! Both the Vols and the Titans lost over the weekend!
I still think the Titans will make the playoffs this year!
The Vols.....maybe it's time for a coaching change!!!

Funny story about the Titans. (well... funny to me)
I have a brother that lives in Indiana. He (like the rest of us)REALLY likes Wolf Brand Chili. But (horrors) they don't sell it where he lives in Indiana.
So...
My other brother who lives in Austin is a Titans fan and sends my brother in Indiana a can of Wolf Brand Chili every time the Titans win.
My brother in Indiana is one die hard Titans fan.
So... if you are looking to buy a new fan for your favorite team real cheap... all it will cost you is a can of Wolf Brand Chili, shipping and postage.

To be honest, I'm surprised at how well the Packers are playing!
Nobody really expected the Titans to hang with the Colts, but they did! They were a completed pass away from a field goal try to win the game!
Two lucky things happened to the Colts in this game that helped them win:
1. The Colts hiked the ball with 5 seconds on the clock before halftime, Peyton took his time and threw an incomplete pass. The official time keeper left one second on the clock! I went back and timed it, since I had Tivo'd the game. From the time of the snap until the ball hit the ground was 5 seconds! Time should have run out! They kicked a field goal with that 1 second that was left! The official timekeeper had a quick finger! Most of the time, time has run out on a play like that!
2. The Titans partially blocked a field goal try and the ball hit the bottom of the cross bar, bounced straight up, and barely went over!
