Ok, pardon me if I just have to get this off my shoulder but I am very frustrated tonight.
Today, my husband had made an appointment for the Internet company to come out and fix our internet which has been going down off and on ever since we signed up in November. They came out yesterday and supposedly fixed the problem, as they have numerous times, but last night it went down again. He called and set up with them to come today between 10-1. I cancel led appointments that I had in order to be home at that time. They never showed up and never called. This is such a pet peeve of mine. To be late or not show up at all without letting someone know is just inexcusable in my opinion. Now, I have to do the same tomorrow. That means 3 days this week I have been tied up with this company who seems very inept at what they are doing.
Thanks for listening, I do feel better. So, do you have a Pet Peeve you would like to get off your shoulder?

I can't stand the following:
a. Your boss tells you "we have no money to reward you properly" when you know he just doled out a big raise to a political croney.
b. People who tell you someone said that YOU said something when you really didn't. Basically they lie about you. And then when you want to confront the liar, the person who is telling you what they said won't identify the liar, because they don't want to "cause any trouble".
c. People who aren't loyal, when you have went to the mat for them many times.

People who aren't original.
People who want to copy the ideas of others because they think what they are doing isn't good enough.
People who don't take others into consideration when making demands.
People who use children to do the work of adults.

Okay.... question here...
I am looking at getting my internet through another company rather than my local phone service and I would like to make sure I don't use theone you are using. :)
Could you share which company ths is?

Suddenlink, but dslreports.com can find something wrong with many others as well. I never had any hiccups with Att/Yahoo/SBC except they added footers to my emails. So I switched to Gmail and no promotion of what I don't want to promote.
Cox Communications could not make money in this market and sold it to "Suddenly UN Linked"- this is one reason why. I pay $49.99 a month for service that is like a boat in a bad storm- up down up down up down. Twice the tech "has fixed problems outside." The last visit including following the line upline to "the neighbor's yard where there were rusty connections."

We had an insurance man call about 2 weeks ago from the union. He was resigning us up for our insurance for disability which we get free through our union. Also dismemberment which by the way is actually useless to buy.
Anyways he called and said he would be out in 30 min. We stayed home and waited and do you know he didnt show up, didnt call. and has never recontacted us. What a VERY POOR way to conduct business
