View Full Version : We're Moving Sunday! Tennessee Bound!

Hey everyone! Just want to ask you all to keep us in your prayers. We leave for Jackson on Sunday. I've been packing all week, and I'm exhausted. Tomorrow we will load up the truck and head out early Sunday morning.
Remember us in your prayers, we need His divine protection. Also I'll be in the mini-van with my 2 kids *ugh*. So mommy needs a little extra prayer so she won't lose her mind. Hubby is not used to driving a truck, so it should be an interesting drive. LOL
So please keep us in your prayers!

Well I caught a fever for Jackson hotter than a pepper plant. Going back to Jackson.... or something like that.
Drive safely and watch for the snow. It would be better to stop and rest rather than to drive over icy roads with a loaded truck with little to no experience.

Darcie-
I have lived in the Alabama, Tennessee are for years. Theres a group in Jackson you neeed to watch out for.
They call themselves Love and Truth Church. Pastor and wifes name; Eddie and Sherri. I've heard these people....
"...accepts and genuinly cares for all Gods children no matter the race, background, gender or economic status".
"....provides the opportunity for us to assist in planting churches in the area and in Kenya, Africa."
...is " a place of healing, new beginnings, and a place where we have discovered a completely new and exciting relationship with God."
They call them "... places of supernatural power; impacting the world, showing unconditional love, reaching the lost, and bringing all people to a maturity in Jesus Christ through obedience to His Holy Word. "
Kinda wish we had one of their churches in my area!

Darcie,
I am not going to hold it against you that you appear to have way too many teeth to live in Tennessee. Just don't be all stuck up about it.
On a serious note you are moving to one of the top three states in the USA! Tennessee is right up there with Texas and Alaska as Holy Ground.

Well, JC and Darcie's truck broke down somewhere in North Carolina and the people came to fix it and it is NOT fixable. So the company had to get them another moving truck, had movers come to move all the stuff from one truck to another, put them up in a hotel, and they will hopefully leave early tomorrow morning to continue on to Tennessee. Right now they are still pretty far away, but hopefully they will get here sometime early tomorrow evening as originally planned! So, it's been an adventure already and they're not even here yet.

Oh me - this happened to my son and I when I moved him from Knoxville. Besides getting stranded when they closed I40 for ice/snow. We were stuck when the truck broke down on the weekend and had already checked into the hotel when the snow storm came - - thank goodness we were there first because the hotel solded out and people were sleeping on the floor in the lobby.
A couple days later they sent a new truck with movers that moved the stuff from one truck to the other.
Bless their hearts!

I spoke to Darci on the phone about the disappointing day they had been having. We also were disappointed that we would not get to see them as they traveled through but the delay was for a purpose I'm sure God knows all about. We pray that the remainder of their journey will be safe and uneventful. The network of praying friends that we acquire here is one of the more positive benefits of this forum.

Yes, the Smoky Mountain area. Transplanted from California 15 years ago.
Spoke to Darcie and JC ... this afternoon and evening. They've arrived safely, were able to get their keys to the apartment and at around 5 pm ... the Love and Truth moving brigade had arrived to give them a hand to unload the truck!!!!

I don't think Darcie has access to her computer yet, IF she's even found it. The men got all the stuff unloaded quickly last night and she told me today that they were up early today setting up the apartment. I'm sure they're exhausted! I only saw them for a couple of minutes last night; I ran in and got some hugs! I had to go to a ladies' leadership Christmas party and we partied until after 10:00 pm. At that time, I didn't figure they would appreciate me showing back up on their doorstep!:christmoose
