I had met him before at a conference but last night I sat with him for about an hour at dinner. I was in New York singing at the Manhatten Center.
A divine connection, he is going to help me get things into Uganda a cheaper way.
We just needed someone to help us. I was able to share the whole vision of the orphanage.

Ok I thought so, just wanted to make sure I had the right person. I met him several years ago (well my sr yr in school lol) at Bro Binion's old church in Wylie Tx. He did a big thing here every year. I guess he either was originally from that church or had friends there and they asked him to help. He did a huge community thing here every year where he gave anyone in the town well first 300 people it was I think... gifts and clothes each yr for Christmas. I helped him the last 2 yrs I was in school to organize it and it was a wonderful experience. He was a wonderful person altho I remember little of it now I remember his personallity was so much of giving,,,, it rang his heart beat and he is initially the one who planted in me such a desire to help others...

Yes I believe so also. It was a COG church we worked with him at and I believe it used to be his home church or something very close.
We have supported them at times when we were able. They are indeed a proven group and one I would never have doubt in.

Is this the food program that stays in the US? If so......I guess those of you that have posted so far would vouch for it?

They do go out of the country but they help just as much if not more here in the US also. And yes I would vouch for them 100% I worked for them in our town where i went to school and they based their local services out of one of my best friends church. They did so much for the community which at the time was a very low income area. I remember Mr Jones saying to us. If we run out of coats... someone let me know and I will run to walmart and buy them because not one person will leave here today needing food or a coat!!!
He also is one who very clearly lets it be known where every penny goes. He used to even list a list of expenses on his website so that naysayers could see where every penny goes... I havent looked but i am sure it is still there. Very reputable people and a good organization.

Over 16 per cent of
children under five in the developing
world are severely malnourished. Nearly
half of these 90 million children live in
South Asia. Many of these children are
anaemic, weak and vulnerable to disease;
most of them already had low weight at
birth; some of them will have learning
problems if they ever go to school. They
will probably remain among the poorest
of the poor throughout their lives. (unicef)

We have so much while others have so little...we are blessed...never forget that fact.
