There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

3. Based on the radical ultracon/mod definition?

This definition fluctuates from preacher to preacher based on the dress standards and extrabiblical commands proclaimed as the Law of God.

-----------------------------------------

"I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting." -Isaiah 50:6

----------------------------------------

"Now when the Pharisees gathered together to Him, with some of the scribes, who had come from Jerusalem, they saw that some of His disciples ate with hands defiled, that is, unwashed. For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, do not eat unless they wash their hands, observing the tradition of the elders; and when they come from the market place, they do not eat unless they purify themselves; and there are many other traditions which they observe, the washing of cups and pots and vessels of bronze. And the Pharisees and the scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not live according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with hands defiled?" And He said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, 'This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me; in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.' You leave the Commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men." And He said to them, "You have a fine way of rejecting the Commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition!" (Mark 7:1-9 RSV)

----------------------------------------

"And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto His disciples, How is it that He eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?" (Mark 2:16 KJV)

What? Jesus didn't drive around in a Lincoln while all his followers waited on him hand a foot?

He didn't walk around church going "Ooooohhhh Lorrrdddddd!!!" in a low baritone voice for all the saints to here?

He didn't sit up front while guest preachers preached?

He MUST be a <spitting!!!>...... charismatic!

Evidently, this is where He goes to church!

Catholic Apostolic Charismatic Church of “Jesus the King”
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Catholic Apostolic Charismatic Church of "Jesus the King" (Iglesia Católica Apostólica Carismática "Jesús Rey") is an independent international religious association of Catholic origin and character, with headquarters and legal recognition in Munich, Germany.
It has been described as a derivative movement of the Catholic Apostolic National Church of Brazil (ICAB – Portuguese "Igreja Católica Apostólica Brasileira") founded by the retired Roman Catholic Bishop Carlos Duarte Costa in 1945, but the group's development is more complex than this suggests. In recent years, the "Jesús Rey Church", as it is often known, reached the attention of the international media on account of controversial ordinations to the priesthood of Roman Catholic women, both lay and religious, resulting in their excommunication by the Vatican. This group is known as the Danube Seven.

This definitely sounds like his home church, ordaining women as priests??? This is heresy. Mary Magdeline would be very proud!

Seriously, where do you go to church at? We have plenty of people who drive Lincolns and better at our church, our pastor isn't one of them.

As far as waiting on him hand and foot??? I'm sure there have been occasions where the pastor has asked someone to help him with something, (if it was in their area of expertise) but as a general rule, no. The above and beyond stuff generally comes to me.

I work for him, and out of the three full time secretaries that our church employs, I am the only one who would ever be asked to go above and beyond.

I am also his sister, so you get the drift. I have never felt put upon by him, I see what he puts up with on a daily basis, and am happy to lift the load where ever I can.

Now as to the sitting up front while there is a guest preacher? I'm not sure what that even means. You have a problem with the pastor sitting on the platform?

Sorry DA, thread-jacking, I was just really distracted by that response.

Jesus was charismatic in the fact He gave gifts of grace.
But seriously I don't think He would affliate with any religious movement.
BTW what denomination did Jesus Christ found ?

Jesus Christ started a church or body but not any denomination.

Bro. Scott...

Some called it The Way, some called it The Nazarene Sect. I just call it following Jesus.

This begs another question what was the church called in the NT ?
Some oneness groups insist that the name The Church Of Jesus Christ must be on the church sign.
No Bible for that.

I have known Charismatics that WERE like Jesus Christ in their passion for his will which at times exceeded their knowledge of it.

What does this mean? Are you saying that they mean well... but really don't know what they are talking about?
