Maybe the term "loose fellowship" is for a purpose???

sad...too many innocent souls have been destroyed by fighting pastors...if someone leaves I do not think it should become a cause for a battle ground.

How about if we just wait and see what really happens ,instead of all this pointless speculating?

If the pastor is following the Lord and uses his Holy Ghost wisdom, and doesn't spew bitterness, it can be a very positive experience. People will always be affected by decisions. It is most important to do the right thing for the right reason. People will equally be affected if a pastor doesn't choose to leave and the majority think he should because the Lord is directing. Where will it ever end? When the last bit of "politics" is squeegeed out of the organization and the Lord once again takes center stage!

I know of at least one CA church where some saints transferred to a nearby church over the TV issue. Never a bad thing to have high standards.

Goodness, why in the world would TV be an issue of fellowship over? If one goes on TV, let him do it unto the Lord. If one does not go on TV, the same. Nothing worth losing friendship or fellowship over.

The problem is, my dear brother Price, is that what you say sounds too much like scripture.

Randy,

have you heard of members leaving churches that are getting out of UPC?

Mr. Thad, they're going to have people leaving either direction. Unbelieveable, over stupid television. Someone call Steven King, I'm sure he could write a horror novel about all this stuff.

from what i understand, there are some leaving because the pastors are leaving the UPC- some folks have some deep roots in it
