Does anyone have any recomendations on web design programs? I'm currently using Front Page, but I'm not very impressed with it... what program do you like and what do you like about it? How difficult is it to use?
thanks...

They say Dreamweaver is good but I use content management software, like Joomla or something.

How difficult are they to use? I think sometimes I'm loosing my touch as I get older... : ) Things have changed a lot since I ran a BBS....

Dreamweaver for me. Most open source contenet management systems are too limited for me. I use geeklog at http://www.apostolic.net, but I am not even all that wild about that one.

Are you excited about VB 3.7 yet?

head on over and look at the discussion. It will include social blogging. I can hardly wait. If I was not a wimp, I would request to be a beta.

I use Dreamweaver, but the learning curve is kinda tough if you're not used to it. Once you get the hang of it though, it is better than FrontPage, which is what I used to use.

Frontpage is out...use Dreamweaver or Microsofts Expressions if you want a WYSIWYG editor...
Expressions is new and a really good program. If you want something simple and not need to mess with code try Namo or NetFusion.
Dreamweaver is easy and there are a ton of free and premium "plug-ins" called extensions.

I was doing a site with Joomla. It was good for blogging, photo blogs and adding some indepth articles. What I didn't like was that the whole thing had a "nuke" feel, like PHPnuke and the others. Basically it was a console with a back end. It's great if you're going to turn the site over to someone else who doesn't want to be overwhelmed.
I don't really like anything right now. Maybe I have a bad attitude, but I do want to see something new. I tried WikiMedia recently. Building on the CSS templates might produce something new and create a "wiki without the wiki look." What do you think?
