Since I am not a shopper ...however we bought a big ham, several pounds of chicken already cut up probably 10 pounds or more, a hen, hamburger meat, veggies, sweets rice, beans, dozens of drinks, for Monday night ceia...
This is custom here to cook a supper and eat around midnight...so all that don´t have anything to cook or anywhere to go I have invited to my house...
(thanks Sherri) candy for the kids...a typical christian night of fellowship...
Oh, yes we bought fruit cakes...and fruits...a few gifts...
I will try to remember to get pictures our picture taker is not here. (Brother Alvear)

I am going to make punch and water mellon baskets...my daughter i law is going to make some pies...

Some very poor families are sooooooooooooooooo excited...

I was thinking they had to go to separate markets for all that. That is how it can take a while to do all the shopping.

Oh Sister! This sounds so wonderful. I'm so glad you get to do this. I pray for a wonderful fellowship for all involved. Please do get pictures, I look forward to seeing them.

actually where I live they do have a supermarket that Walmart bought but it is very expensive so I shopped somewhere else. I think we will cook for around 75 or so...
We still have the old markets and we do much shopping there as it is much cheaper but I am thankful for the supermarkets as I remember when the first supermarket opened in Brazil many years ago...

I cannot imagine cooking for 75 people!!! I'm so glad that you are able to bless others this Christmas! I can't wait to see the pictures. Wish I were there to share the meal with you all.
