NYLP (Dan) text messaged me a few minutes ago a cryptic message that he is in the Emergency Room in a lot of pain and to pray.

I know that he would want the AFF family to all hold him up in prayer right now.

I apologize if this has already been posted. I have not been on for a couple of days and just logged on to post this request.

They are doing blood work right now. I am sure in typical emergency room fashion they will get the results in a few hours.

He said they are checking for stones - - asking if gall or kidney.

I just talked to him and he said "I'm dying".

I assured him he wasn't, but more than likely it's gallstones.

"I'm dying" about sums gallstones up.

I hope the pain subsides quickly.

If he is "dying" it is more than likely kidney stones...just my guess.

Sounds like gallstones.

He's been having pain on and off the past few weeks. Said he'd just finished off a Whopper and it hit hard.

I've had kidney stones and I know you just want to die.

Yep. My unofficial diagnosis after this information is gallstones. lol The whopper gives it away. I'm shuddering. Tell him not to eat pringles either. Pringles are evil. Right now he probably doesn't feel like eating anything at all.

Prayed for Dan....

Having had gallstones, and given birth 4 times naturally, I'll give birth another 30 times before I even reconsider the gallstones. Childbirth holds nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, to gallstones.

Sis,

I still have some fleets up in the cabinet from one of my many surgeries, one of which was a gall bladder removal, and colonoscopies. Do you think I should jump in the car and run to the hospital (Which one is he in - does anyone know?) and offer to save him a few hundred bucks? :D:christmasjig

There is a cleansing tonic that is successful in some people.
Alas, he may be past that point now.

I haven't had Gall Stones, but have had Kidney Stones & yes it does feel as if you are exiting this world.

Praying for God's comfort & Divine intervention even if it is through the Doctors!

In Jesus Name!

PS I hope those dead people he sees are not former clients!:christmoose

I tried a different approach. It took about a year, but my gallbladder eventually healed. Of course, during that year, I ate *no* red meat. I consumed *no* dairy products. *No* sugar. Um there was something else yummy. Oh, and it's not that I didn't slip up. It's just that when I did, I felt mighty nasty, made it easy to stick to things. 6 years later I can eat anything I want. Except pringles. But I don't want to. Bad associations there. lol

I had my gallbladder out when my daughter was 2 weeks old. I would have much rather given birth again. But, as soon as that thing was gone I was sooooo much better. I have not had another problem with or without it since

Dan just called and they've sent him home for now.

They said the only way to tell if it's gallstones or his gall bladder is to have a sonogram and those folks have left for the day and won't be back until Monday.

So they sent him home with lots of Demerol and told him if it got worse before Monday to head to Lake Charles.

He appreciates the prayers!

You've mentioned Pringles a couple of times now. and now I'm really craving those crazy things. thanks alot!!! :jolly

Seriously, I'm praying for Dan right now. Been there, done that with the gallstones and had them out. When I had them out it was back in the day when they cut you from one end to the other diagonally across your abdomen. Thankfully, in today's world, they poke a couple of holes in you, reach in and grab those stones and that gallbladder and then send you home. Makes me wish I'd have waited!

I love small towns but things like this are their weakness. In a larger town they hospital would have pretty much all tests available 24/7.

Frankly I am a little afraid of small town hospitals anyway. The one in the town in La. where I went to HS seemed to do as much harm as good to people.

I foolishly allowed my first child to be born there and sure enough my wife almost died in childbirth due to what I considered negligence by the anethesiologist for sure and also probably the Doctor.

I should have known better after all of the horror stories I knew about that hospital.

In fact that hospital is probably less than 100 miles from the one NLYP was at!!
