View Full Version : Are Apostolics Any More Spiritual Than Others Who Believe?

I have noticed something over the years. Generally speaking it seems Apostolics are no more spiritually minded in their thinking and conversation than other believers in Christ who claim the Holy Ghost.

For proof I offer this.

On the forum here in "Deep Waters" is a Thread called What Is Holiness?

It has 14 replies and 71 views.

On the Fellowship Hall is a thread called "First Kiss". It has 182 replies and 2034 views.

It seems serious discussion of truth (being spiritually minded) takes a back seat to carnality.

I am not just criticizing that particular thread but I am using it because it typifies what I have seen over the years. Namely that a movement can fall to a place where it has a name that it lives but is actually dead.

Now of course there ARE spiritually minded people in Oneness groups but it seems as if as a whole, contrasted to Charismatics or Trinitarian Pentecostals our folks are no more heavenly minded than their folks.

I can agree with that to a point.
It depends on why people are here-fun or serious discussion?

It also may be a reason that some people shy away from serious discussion
is that they just may not want any "contentious" discussion.

If they have the same divorce rate and suicide rate as everyong else. How can they be more spiritual?

Because you just keep saying it over and over.

Just like you don't know me from Adam or you'd know I don't have a jealous bone in my body, you can't say you are more Apostolic than everyone else.

By the same token ... I get a kick from those who will question someone else's Apostolicness based on their views on doctrine, dress standards , etc.
