IS BEING STUPID, A SIN ?

Let me try and give you a perspective.
I work in very technical Telecommunications sales.
I walk in the room and have 10 years of high-end technology experience.
Many on this website might not grasp 10% of what I could speak in 5 minutes.
Many of my customers ask the same questions over and over again to clearly define aspects of a design.
Not only for them to understand the design, but so know the CIO that is in the meeting will understand.
Many of the questions on this site may be asked for someone in the Website to understand the perspective.
It is a stategic advantage to know your audience.
I once got burned by making someone in a meeting feel their question was very basic.
What I did not realize was the man was the CEO.
I was not invited back.
Now I treat everyone in an organization like they own the business.
Answer every question with conviction no matter the question and you will be viewed as a "spiritual giant".
Now I know why my Dad would talk the bible with anyone...

Man, I wish I was as smart as some people around here. I read all this stuff and am in awe of the great cloud of intelligence that just oozes from the finger tips of some people.
I knew a guy that got kicked in the head by a horse. He really thought that he was smart as a whip and would often tell the most incredible stories about his great intelligence. Sometimes he would convince people that he was really intelligent because he had a pretty big vocabulary and used some pretty fancy five dollar words. Unfortunately for him, those who were educated and intelligent could tell that he was really just full of hot air. Even those who weren't really intelligent, like myself, could tell pretty quickly just by looking closely at the side of his head and seeing hoof print.
I am glad that I am not as smart as some people.

Actually, I don't consider having discussions about these subject to be stupid at all. For decades we've been told that all of these things are "sin" and we simply believed what we were told. I think that things are changing in the Apostolic realm these days. I've seen it happening for several years now and gaining momentum in very recent years. People are not just accepting what they are told. They want to KNOW and believe for themselves. That's a good thing!!
I see things like this forum as an extension of that quest for a personal belief system. I seriously doubt that we will change alot of people's minds about things - and that's ok. What this is doing is allowing people to explore WHY they believe what they've been taught.
So are these subjects "stupid" to discuss? No. Are they "deep"? Probably not.
