Friends and AFF family....
Let us all please stop for a minute. From the arguing the bickering... the who said he said she said... the Tulsa this and that... the WPF and the UPC... all of the stuff is irrelevant honestly..
We have ones who are dear to us... friends who have become as family to so many of us... in dire need of our prayers today
We have One Accord.. he lost his lovely bride this morning
RevDWW lost his beloved father
Bro Epley headed to hospital with chest pains again
Someone else just had a death in the family too... I am missing ones I am sure
SoCali... has been found with apparent skin cancer...
The horrible Tornados that attacked towns of our friends just last night
One of our own pastors who has lost his church
Family in Sherri church lost their home and everything they own
There are so many needs right now before us...
Can we please bind together... forget the confusion for a moment and take time to say some prayers...
It would be nice.. the next few days.. lets pick a time.. say 10 pm central time... if this is ok with the admin for me to ask... and all get together and spend some time in prayer along with other times in our day for these needs!
Just some thoughts from AG

:thumbsup AG
Great idea...
And if you run out of something to pray for... check out the prayer closet forum. There are ALWAYS a list of needs there.

Absolutely, AG - although I don't and won't get on the Tulsa stuff. :D
I couldn't think of anything else during my prayer time except for all these needs!
Glad you started this thread. It's a good reminder that there are larger things in life going on around us!

You know, I read thru some of those other threads and even post on them sometimes (the "discussion" ones), but the real reason that I come to AFF every day is the Prayer Closet. Seriously! I am so grateful to the many who have prayed when we've had serious needs - Walt's aneurism, my niece's lymphoma that we're up against right now and other times. I want to give back by praying for all of YOUR needs.
AG, this is the best idea that's been come up with. I love it. Count me in! If I can't make it every day at 10 pm, I'll at least try to get here often.
Praying together will bind us together in a way that nothing else could ever do.

Just felt like the right thing to do... There are so many in need right here in just this small group of people... and if we cannot reach out to our own... how can we reach others... not saying that yall havent.. this by far is the most caring group in the world of people I have ever met.. when there is a need yall are there! Believe me I know too well as I have had my share of drama over the last few years.. and yall have been there!
Its just a chance to become more unified...stronger... and in the Will of God!!!

Good post!! More praying means less time to pick at others. And the more we pray the less we will want to pick at others.

That's one thing we've always been able to say about this group. No matter how much everyone bickers and argues about all the little insignificant things... when there is a need... everyone is together in prayer.

I'm truly concerned about all these needs,my probelms are mighty small compared to these needs.

I am sincere in saying. I do think we can have differences and debate, Without calling personal names.
Then saying things about a person without knowing the heart and soul of that person.
We may see each others words and think we hear a tone or attitude.
Email, IM, Chatting have become such a big part of our communication.
With so much of what and how we say it being our body language and expression.
We tend to read words in the tone and expression from our own experiences when we do not know the person writing.
I agree that we should care about each other in more of christian manner and communicate our beliefs and ideas to communicate and not alienate.
My actions included.
I am praying hard for the concerns, needs for those on this forum.
I believe that the Lord see's our heart when we pray for others.
I want the Lord to hear my voice less about just my needs.
And more about the needs of others and some great people.
