Dad had either heart attack or stroke!!!!

As most of yall know I just got home from the hospital myself from having a procedure done.. called my biological mother to let her know how things had went and she was crying.. I had noticed she called about 8 times this afternoon...

They are in the ER in Joplin (I think thats where she said...its the closest with them living in Exeter) and they are saying that my bio- father has either had a heart attack or stroke! I do not know any more details but he needs yalls prayers right now! PLEASE!!! His youngest daughter died just a year ago from a massive heart attack.. wasnt even 22 yet and his oldest son died just a few months ago too... Everyone is taking this pretty hard please pray... and I cant make the trip to be with them so thats hard too...

Thank you all for the prayers! They are greatly appreciated... Margie.. he is not saved.. and even though my bmom does go to an AG church he refuses... he was hurt many yrs ago by the baptist church he grew up in and he said to me the last time I asked him to come to church... that he didnt even want his funeral in a church they had hurt him so bad :(

AG, in that case, I will not only pray for God to touch his physical body, but oh so much more importantly, I will be asking God to speak to his heart and to send people in his pathway who can be real witnesses to him of God's love and mercy. This is so important!!

They have determined it was indeed a stroke.. he is not as bad as they originally thought. He has most of his facilities he just cannot walk well and well just some minor stroke symptoms but I think he will be ok...

I talked to him today and they are taking him to Springfield to a rehab there tomorrow.. I guess its closer to home for them. He is doing ok.. It was a stroke and he is having to use a walker but other than his leg and walking abilities today there seems to be no more problems from it!!

He talked to me for a little while this evening... last night he was not very understandable at all but tonight his first words were... God was looking out for me kiddo.. My B-mom is a broker for truck drivers and she got a call yesterday for a load that needed to go and he was gonna run it for her as he has retired and she couldnt find anyone and it was a very expensive load and would pay very well.. he was getting dressed to go when the stroke happened! He said if he had went he would have probably died or worse case killed someone... He has also agreed to at least consider visiting church when he gets out of the hospital...

Thank you! I just got back on thinking about him and praying... I am praying not that just his leg heals and whatever unseen damage done heals.. but that God sends someone who can minister to him right now in the situation he is in so that he is able to see what and Who he needs...

Ok this morning I got a call from my mom.... things arent looking good at all. They are pretty much sending my dad home to die tomorrow :(

He has had a couple more mild strokes since the first one and now they are saying that 2 of the arteries are blocked and one has an aneurysm. They have considered a stint and surgery but both would more than likely kill him instantly so they have just opted to send him home and wait and see...

We will probably head out there next weekend to be with them.

ya know it gets very discouraging at times... Todays one of those days I just want to hide under a rock.. Not being there for Ted right now hurts so hard...

When my biological mother decided to look for me her father threatened her life.. yet Ted (he is not my biological dad but might as well be they have been married for 25 yrs and he is the only dad my siblings know) fought with her to find me.. he has been the grandfather to my kids they didnt have... he has been a dad that well... Its just not right... my time with them has been so short and now its getting shortened even more by this!!!! Its just not right and it hurts so bad... yea I am whining.. but guess what I am allowed!!! Im not invincible... I am human and feel totally alone right now... I watched my mother die a slow and painful death due to illness and now him....

I'm sorry that you feel this time is short, but you can look back and say I had a father that cared for me! God is good!
