Is it just me or is the price of tea going up? I read that tea makers are reaping windfalls of record profits. What's the deal? Is this just price gouging or are the Chinese involved?

Decaffeinated tea? Isn't that kinda like buying a solar powered car? It's like...what's the point? So it doesn't use any gas....it's top speed is like 10 MPH, what good does that do? :killinme

Have you tried White tea? It has even less caffeine than Green and is higher in Antioxidents.

I think gas company executives drink tea to corner the market against cola drinkers.

It's the Bloody Fives, they have their hand in everything. The price of ink cartridges for your printer will triple in four months, golf balls ( forget it, only the wealthy will golf, I suggest take up snorkeling and hang around ponds for golf balls),start hoarding Q-tips now, and buy hairspray by the pallet load, you gee-tar players oughta get a lifetime supply of strings now or you might be using chicken wire................:couch ...beware the Bloody Fives.

That's interesting. You know I had a conversation with my Pastor over going to Mexico for dental treatment. In certain areas they have very qualified dentists and the prices are cheaper than what you would pay after your insurance pays here.

We are sending a lot of our tech jobs to India and I saw on the news that many people go overseas for expensive procedures because it's just plain cheaper. However I wonder if this is a trend of things to come to raise wages of other nations.

Years ago I remember in the conspiracy circles there was a thing about dividing the world into 7 or 10 economic zones. This was before the EU came into being and we are seeing now a North American move to do what they did in Europe. Along with that story line was the goal of making the world equally equally poor.

If they can strike in India for better wages...when are they going to demand higher wages for the jobs US companies send there? I wonder if this is going to equal out with Mexico. They are allowing Mexican truckers to come into the US....so they can out bid US truckers who have to abide by all sorts of regulations

If you have SPRINT cell phone service, you talk to folk in India when you call for help...lots of companies are out-sourcing their call centers to other countries.

When I had problems with my verizon DSL I called the tech guys and several times I got someone with an Indian accent....now he could have been here, but it was still hard to communicate with him.

I did get someone that sounded American and was more helpful.

One thing I noticed about the "Indian" folks is they don't think outside the box. They have a script they stick to like a dog sticking to a bone. I used to get these Telemarketers for Chase credit card that annoyed me to know end. I would ask this guy "Is this a telemarketing call?" And all that did was interrupt his script reading...He never answered my question. It was kinda funny

Hubby HATES calling them- he says it is the most aggravating thing in his life right now!! LOL You are correct- they never veer off course- they follow that script to a 't'.

it took an American verizon tech guy to say "Let me talk to the manager" to get the ball rolling and stop taking me through their lame "trouble shooting" script when I knew that would not help. I knew it was NOT my computer nor my modem and that was AFTER they sent me another modem I had to pay for. Cretans.

As it turned out my line was crossed with someone elses line just down the street,. It was the reason I was getting a lot of phone calls in spanish and the reason why there were sometimes three people on the line at the same time. If she had put filters on her telephone lines my internet would never had dropped and we never would have known about this problem haha

You sound a lot like me! I really enjoy fine teas...but my coffee seems to be consumed more than tea....Water and coffee are my drinks..... My children, since they were around 2 or 3 have enjoyed their tea time.... It's not every day but we'll sit with them and have tea...the other night at the restaurant they ordered hot tea and the waitress looked extremely confused....lol... the looked at us as if to ask, "are they for real?" They're only 7 and 9!!!
