About the middle of January I requested that folks would pray for my niece Cara. She was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoma. The word from the doctor at that point was not very encouraging.

I want to update you and share how God is blessing now.

My sister and bro-in-law took Cara to the University of Michigan Hospital at Ann Arbor today to see a group of docs who are specialists in T-cell Lymphomas. They got to see the head of the whole group, in fact :)

So the word from the doctor today is that Cara has something called Pleomorphic TCell Lymphoma. He said it is extremely rare in adults and almost unheard of in children. But that it typically breaks out in one place and one place only. It sounds like it would be taken out surgically (like Cara's was) and then what's left is treated with radiation. No chemo. Nothing else.

I'm understanding that to mean that this is a very curable kind of cancer.

Does anyone else know anything at all about this kind of cancer?

We are certainly dancing the Happy Dance tonight and PRAISING GOD FOR ANSWERED PRAYER!! God is so good to us and we are so grateful.

Please keep praying for Cara. Even tho the news is definately good and we are most assuredly grateful to God - the fact is that she still will have to go thru radiation treatment and it's not over yet. But it is sooooooooooooo much better than the doctors led us to believe at the beginning :)

Prayer changes things. We will continue to pray.

You are so right, Tina. I am convinced that God WANTS to answer prayer for us. We just have to ask. That doesn't mean that God is a big Santa Claus in the sky. Far from it. He wants to answer our prayers that are in line with HIS will. And since HIS will is what we want most of all, He does want to answer. :)

Thank you for praying for Cara, everyone!
