We would greatly appreciate your prayers.....we have the flu.

I haven't been this sick since I was pregnant with my son, 9 yrs ago.
For that I am thankful.

I don't want my children to get it.

Last year and this so far has been the most I have been sick in a long time. Thank God!

But if I am going to get sick it needs to be now...we have a conference in a week and I need to be better especially my husband.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL with the flu, this year it's really bad. My friend called me last night and a 50 yr. old lady at the Manguns church died this week from the flu...

We are feeling some better....still weak.
My husband started getting sick Wed night and came home early from work yesterday.
We are getting ready to eat some soup.

Praying ...... just got over it ...... new medicine out called tamiflu ...... 4 of us was on it and it worked.

But my kids both got sick early this morning.

You said it, I remember them days, the fever, the crying

the long slimy green cords that hung down almost to the ground and was like trying to clean a raw egg up off the floor....(shiver,shiver) :aaa:covereyes

Thank God it isn't that bad! :)

My kids have a fever and a cough and aching.

Any suggestions on what I can do for that?
My 6 year old weighs 80 lbs and my 9 yr old weighs 120 lbs.
They aren't fat, but tall and solid.

Nyquil --- 30% of an adult dose...or they have childrens ...knock them out so their body can fight the bug, that is the hard part with children, as long as they are up and moving around the body can't recover. If you can get them to sleep then the body can use its energy and resources to fighting the virus.

We have some adult I might try that.
So far I have just been giving them Tylenol for the fever and aching and Robitussin for the cough.
They haven't been up except to go to the bathroom and they both have soaked in the tub.
They still want to eat, which kinda scares me cause I don't want it coming back up so I am only letting them eat in small doses.

Praise the Lord!

The kids fever broke around 7 this morning.

My son just woke up, hair sticking up all over and said "I feel so much better!"

My husband is weak but feels much better.

I felt better yesterday, it was good that I did I needed to take care of my family.
