Matt 7:12 (KJV)
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Jesus taught we are to act first in the manner we want to be treated, not wait until we see how we are going to be treated and then act accordingly. Many are forgetting this in their Forum life.

Hammer out ideological differences without beating on personalities.

I was speaking with an inmate years ago and he said "Man, the guards don't show me no respect!". I asked him "Do you want to know why?" He did, so hear was my response "The guard doesn't show you any respect because he's dealing with a 100 guys just like you".

Show respect to get respect in return. Attitude is everything, and it does show even in our writing, and can easily be misconstrued. Take your time, think out your words. Measure your words carefully before you dish them out in the heat of battle.

James 3:13 - 18 (KJV) 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation [manner of life, conduct, behaviour, deportment] his works [business, employment, that which any one is occupied, that which one undertakes to do, enterprise, undertaking] with meekness [mildness of disposition, gentleness of spirit, meekness] of wisdom.
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Hebrews 12:14 - 15 (KJV) 14 Follow [to run after, follow after: someone, to pursue, to seek after eagerly, earnestly endeavour to acquire] peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Perhaps in our quest and zeal for holiness we overlook something just as equally important.

Don't wait for someone to come to you with peace, we are to go after them. If they don't want peace with us it shouldn't be because we are not eagerly and earnestly seeking it.

Jesus made a point of teaching that if you know your brother has something against you [and how much more if you have ought] to leave the alter and go to that brother and attempt to make it right.

I like. Thanks for he "seed' thought. It will be used.

Already preach one called "The Most Important Question You'll Ever Ask The Father."

Kids are inquisitive; always have been.
Passover would have brought many questions from child to father.
Why? How? When?
Even God said that this would be a memorial for when they ask "What meaneth this?"
During that time there was one question more important than any other.
As the death angel passed and the Hebrew children heard the cries of sorrow from the Egyptians they would run to the Father with an anxious question on their lips:
"Daddy, is the blood still there?"

Isn't it awesome to know the blood is still there?

Perhaps a title of "Something out of nothing"

That could be a whole series.

We could throw in how he makes us a poeple that were not a people......

1 Pet 2:6 - 10 (KJV)
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Philippians 2:2 - Philippians 2:30 (KJV) 1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.

Before a hastily worded shot, or an response in anger consider these question:

Am I answering out of pride?
Will what I say adversely affect others?
I'm I trying to bring hurt in kind for a hurt received?
Will other see my words as words of Love?
Am I speaking truth in love or opinion in pride?
If I'm joking around is that clear to others?
Will what I say leave me blameless and harmless?

Think on these things.
