Please keep LadyRev and family in your prayers. HO and all are on the way to the hospital right now. She fell, broke her hip and appears to be giving up on trying to get well and living.

They really need your prayers!

LadyRev's grandma is better than expected. She is depressed about her situation (which isn't unusual for someone in her state of health) and her congestive heart failure is acting up. She is very tired and not eating well, but I told her to get better because she's coming to the nursing home I work at to get strong and for rehab.

Please continue keeping her in your prayers, and also LR, because this is stressful for her.

Mighty GOD,

You see this little grandmother that has broken her hip and feels SO helpless!

Strengthen her heart and give wisdom to those caring for her so that she will

eat well and feel better. Lord God, give someone an encouraging word for her

from You today. Be it a doctor, a nurse or a precious little aide that would

speak words of comfort, hope and peace to this little grandmother, in Jesus

Name! Thank You for what You will do for her! You are great and greatly to

be praised!

My mother used to sing a song around the house when I was a child.

Although it has been many, many years ago, it rings clear in my memory.

Look all around you, find someone in need,
Help somebody today.
Though it be little, a neighborly deed,
Help somebody today.

Help somebody today, somebody along life's way,
Let sorrow be ended, the friendless befriended,
O, help somebody today!

Thanks so much for all the prayers. Please don't stop! ;)

Will be going to see her again today and I'm hoping her spirits will be improved along with her physical condition. She'll be 88 in a couple weeks, has her own apt and car and is still used to being fairly active in spite of CHF and a few other ailments. This is one of the reasons shes so depressed. She knows breaking a hip will slow her down another notch.

She is still in the hospital and not doing well. We were with her last night and this evening. Her heart is still acting up, although her blood pressure is terrific.

Continue to pray that God's will be done.

This is wisdom to pray that God's Will be done. Always!

If we can get to the place, in every situation, where Jesus

(two natures warring) came to, in the Garden and pray sincerely,

"Father, not my will, but as thou wilt" everything will be all right!

There is never any improvement to God's Will. It means dying to

ours.

It has been said that "God gives His best to those who leave

the choice (not my will, but Thine, Lord) with HIM"!

And many times it just makes room for a miracle! It's up to

Him.

Thank You, Lord God, for what YOU will see fit to do for this

dear little grandmother, in Jesus Name.

Blessings,

Thanks again to everyone for your prayers, but we need more.

I spoke to LR's cousin tonight and she said that the doc told her that if Grandma doesn't improve within 48 hours, they are putting her on comfort measures, as there is nothing more they can do. Her biggest problem right now is that her bowels are sleeping, and they have been for over a week now. Her heart isn't that great, but it's been that way for years, so nothing new, really.

This is devastating to LR, who is very close to her grandma. She hasn't lost a grandparent since she was 14, and that was 30 years ago.

It isn't that she doesn't think her grandma should pass away, but that she might be going as the result of a broken hip....something so silly to die from, considering her other health problems.

Also, her grandma was raised Lutheran. According to the chart I have at work, she is listed as being Pentecostal....having been a member of the Assembly of God for years. I know God is a righteous judge, and LR and I spoke for a while about that tonight.

We want the will of God, but LR would rather her pass from something other than a stupid broken hip, if you know what I mean.

Her name is Lois. God knows her.

Thanks again everyone.

Somewhat better. Her uncle was first insisting on a private viewing and memorial service but has now consented to allowing friends to pay their respects. Yesterday, he was excluding even me, and that was quite upsetting.

I am buying her dresser, chest, and bed frame set ($100, they need help paying for the funeral, but it's well worth it to me, as it's an excellent set in terrific condition). LR is also giving me some jewelry that she bought for her grandma, and I'm honored.

I worked last night and thought about how I just can't believe she is gone. This is something we always expected to happen, as she was just shy of her 88th birthday, but this wasn't how she wanted to go.

I have no regrets though. I said my goodbyes to her and prayed for her last week. I told her I'll never forget her and that I was thankful to her for allowing me into her life even if for such a short time. She was a special lady.

Here is a pic taken at LR's house at Christmastime. It was taken with LR's cellphone, so it's not a quality pic.
