As tomorrow is the official prayer day for the board, I wanted to ask y'all to remember me in the coming days.

Friday I go in for the pre-surgery testing, which is involving an EKG...I realize this test is a minor thing to some, but I just don't want them finding anything wrong that might postpone the surgery.

I am scheduled for that next Wednesday, March 12 at 7:30 a.m.

There is much to be thankful for here, as I am 56 years old and have never had surgery...and my blood pressure that was SO terribly high, as of last Thursday it was 126/80...:bliss

So I know God is able and I am just being a big baby, but please pray for me...:hug3

Praying sis., I guess I missed this, what are you having surgery for?

There are stones in 30% of the gallbladder. I do feel like such a baby when others have had the same surgery and all is well.

Thank you all for your prayers...

Ohhhhhh, been there, done that. Trust me, having the surgery is much better than suffering with gallstones. That kind of pain just aint right!

Barb, are they doing the surgery laproscopically? I hope so :)

I had my gall bladder out when I lived in Owosso many years ago. At that time, everyone was cut from one end to the other. It was not fun at all, but still it was much, much better than suffering through another gall bladder attack.

You'll do well. We'll all be praying :)

Praying for you Barb and believe me the prayers from here WORK!!!

My pre-op EKG showed I had a heart attack when I didn't. The morning of surgery my potassium was too low they had to hold surgery off until they could get it elevated....but, all went well!!!!

God will be there with you!

Barb,

I am sure that having never had surgery before that you must be a bit apprehensive if not terrified at the prospect. There is plenty of prayer covering you so relax in Jesus and know that He has it all under control.

Praying for you.

Love, Rhoni

I am praing for you Barb. And please know that you are NOT being a baby. Surgery is scary, no matter what it is. Our bodies just aren't supposed to be cut on! We love you here and will have you covered in prayer before you go for testing and as some have already said, all will be well. Love you lots!

All is indeed well...the girl took my blood and did the EKG...

She found that I do have a heart (one of my brothers wanted a pic for proof), and it is beating fine.

She did see where there was a little "damage" from long ago, but as I have never had an EKG before, there is nothing to compare it to. Not sure what that is all about...

But she (the tech) does not anticipate my doctors thinking there is anything abnormal enough to prevent surgery Wed.

So, I sound like a broken record, but thanks again one and all for prayers and kind words. :hug3

Thank you, girl...I thought of you when the tech said that the test showed past damage, but that all looked well now.

Oh well, I am just relieved, and so very much appreciate people who know how to get a prayer through to the throne room.

Right now I am VERY weary, but it's because I haven't eaten today...mom is fixing supper and I'm going to make myself eat.

Anyway, please keep remember me in your prayers...:hug3

Praying, Praying, and Praying Sister Barb!!

You're note to Jon was one of the things that turned him around. I read it to him and he cried and cried. I never even got to the song lyrics that you sent me. Just the part about prayer. He went outside and walked around the block. It took him twenty minutes to walk 1/2 a mile, but he did it. He has ridden his exercise bike everyday since then. Something clicked in his spirit when he heard your words and he has slowly progressed ever since. I will let him know that you going in and ask him to pray for you too.

You are such an encourager and I want to encourage you with all the prayer covering that we can give you. Love you lots!!

I slept like a baby...I was awake every two hours!! :ursofunny

But I wasn't awake with worry...just kept looking at the clock...anxious I guess.

My brothers have all called, and I had a phone call from someone I used to go to church with...she's vacationing in CA and wanted me to know she is praying.

My former pastor's wife, Mother Dunlap, called, and a dear friend and sister contacted me with prayers and encouraging words.

God is SO faithful...I appreciate people who know how to pray...:hug3

Much love to you all...a big thanks to Tina and Renda for making this a 'sticky'.

The doctors anticipated having a hard time in getting the breathing tube when they saw they I didn't have a big mouth...that cracked my brothers up!!

So they had to numb my throat and do it while I was awake...I prayed and a nurse held my hand, and all went well.

I am sucking on Sucrets for the sore throat and am okay...again just a little sore near the 3 incisions.

My greatest concern now is my niece and her family...thank you all for your prayers.

Gonna go back an lay down now...:hug3
