Yep I dont know what it is but I have totally decided I need to pray more more more against these strokes that they cease! Seem to be running rampant in my family lately!

Last night my daughter spent the night with my granny as Dad had to work. Everything was fine.. Woke this morning she even cooked breakfast for all of us.. then 10 min later went to the restroom. About 15 min later my dad is screaming for everyone to come to the restroom.. she was leaning over the tub slouched and passed out! She would come to for about 10 seconds then out again. The paramedics got there and she was pretty alert then but her left leg was dragging so bad.. couldnt lift it at all. That was the only apparent sign of a stroke so I didnt really think it was that. After half a million Ct Scans and Mri's it has been determined it was a stroke.

So I am dispensing the kids elsewhere for a day or so and heading to Baylor. DH has my laptop so I cant keep in touch unless I get to come home but I know even though I cannot see I know I am assured yall will be praying!

Thanks in Advance
AG..

I am so sorry to hear of your grandmother! It seems that you have really been through so much lately and I am sure that you are weary of the trials and tribulations. Rest assure that you have many prayers going up for you.

Thank you all for the prayers. We had a rough night but mostly because most of the time she doesnt remember why she is in the hospital. We had to finally turn on the bed alarm because every time I would walk outside the room she was trying to get up! It was unreal!

They have come to the conclusion it was not one stroke but at least 3. She is however doing wonderful considering and I know it is because of the prayers! The only damage physically is that her leg is dragging otherwise she looks and acts wonderful. They will know more on how much brain damage if any was done today.

Thanks again for the prayers. I am off to bed!

Sis. AG,

Just saw this. May God give you rest as HE watches over the whole situation,

in Jesus Name! He neither sleeps nor slumbers. In times like these just remember

as the the old song goes, "My Heavenly Father watches over me", and grandmother,

and the children, and DH. He watches over all His family. HE has everything under

control. You can believe it!!! HE even knows how many hairs are on our head! HE

IS GREAT and GREATLY to be PRAISED!!!

Blessings, dear Sister!

Its ok I know you are praying. I wasnt home anyways Just got home from the hospital again. They are doing a scope on her heart first thing in the morning so we will see how that goes. Then after that they are going to have PT in to see if she is able to walk... Then when those 2 things are found out we will know a lot more. Its just kind of a guessing game right now. Just totally at a loss of how the strokes happened with such a persisted long term run of Cumadin (sp) so we will have to see.

Its just frustrating as there are a lot of decisions we are having to make right now and my dad is just really not ready to make these decisions for his mother after having just made them 8 1/2 mos ago for my mother.... This morning we got a letter we had been waiting for which was odd timing but just hit really hard yet something we had to do... the funeral home in Checotah where she is from sent the papers stating the amount of her trust there and asked us to please pick a funeral plan and casket.... so its just been a rough day...

Thank you all for the prayers. At times it seems like she is doing wonderful and then in the next breath she seems to have so little left and wanting to die...

My dad was an only child and so was I for a long time until I had my fosters... My moms family didnt accept me too well as my grandfather said he didnt want a kid that wasnt blood... but then there was my grandma (the one currently in the hospital) I was like Gold to her. And still am... She has always just loved me almost more than life itself and to see her ask me to tell the dr to stop all her meds so she can die just kills me! I am sorry I am venting here... just needed an ear and well.... sorry...

Thanks for all the prayers guys!

Thank you all for the prayers. They got her up from the bed to the chair which consisted of 4 very strong steps so we are thinking the walking thing still works!!!!

They did go in and do a scope of her heart today and found that she has extreme plaque on one valve and the others arent too good either :( Sooooooooo since she is not a candidate for open heart surgery at this time and she also has a leak in one of the valves well... its just a wait and see game...

Please keep her in your prayers and thanks so much.

Well I want to thank you all for the prayers for my grandma. I know God has heard them. Last night as I was on my way to go and visit her at the hospital the dr called and said he was discharging her. So I turned around and got my dads van as he is at work and she is unable to climb into my truck at this time and yep... we brought her home! I am so happy for her. I know its bittersweet as the news we heard isnt the greatest but at least she is walking well and doing well considering.

Now say a prayer for me I guess I am going to be spending the next 3 nights over here at my dads with her. She wanted for me to just have one of the older kids spend the night so we tried that tonight and well... as you can see from the timing of this post... didnt work well... she was up hollering for me at 3 in the morning. She needs food and water and oh I think I have a broke skin from the bandaide and on and on and on... so this could prove to be an eventful weekend.... Ohhhhhhhh the drama! BTW No this is not meant as a mean post to anyone who think so... my granny is drama queen extrodanaire!! Always has been so when there is a chance for attention she takes it... now I just get to baby her like I always have my own babies... guess there is oppertunity for everyone :)

I know this is difficult for you and my prayers are with you. My Memaw Polly was a Drama Queen too (that's where I get it! LOL) You're right, though, this is a WONDERFUL opportunity for you. We still love to tell stories about my Memaw....and they are ALL funny! She was "somethin' else"!

You may have some sleepless nights but remember, you are making "Precious Memories" too! Grannie's are stronger than we think sometimes and in this case I think YOUR Granny is one of those strong ones!

Sounds like my grandmother! We were visiting one day and I said, "I'll think I'll visit with you a little longer." She said, "Oh no you won't. The Longhorns are getting ready to play and I don't want any company!" :ursofunny

Praying for you, AG!
