My sister went to a specialist today and found some very unsettling news. She has been having high blood pressure, shortness of breath, and soreness in her chest for a while now, and her PCP sent her for a stress test and did a scan of her lungs. They did notice a mass at her last scan, but her PCP thought that it could be a couple different things, and said that he would have her go for more tests. He then referred her to a specialist.
Well, the specialist looked at her test results today and became rather angry, called my sister's PCP right when my sister was in the office and told him she should have been sent for a heart cath a long time ago. (seeing as how she's had these symptoms for close to a year) The mass they saw is much larger than what the PCP told my sister, and the specialist wants to do a biopsy through the chest wall but is afraid because of her condition she may end up having a heart attack if they put her under. She will be having the heart cath (right & left) within the week, and they will then know more.
My sister is only 29 years old and has two little girls. This news is very scary to her, not to mention my brother-in-law and the rest of the family. But we all know GOD IS ABLE!

Please remember my sister in your prayers. Her name is Katie. We would so very much appreciate it!

So glad you posted, Jodi...Grandma told me about this after your mom called.

God is able, hon, and knows all things. How blessed we are to have a blessed hope in the Lord.

There are some prayer warriors on this board and I know they will be praying with us...they prayed for Katie not long ago and will again.:friend

God, You are Holy, Worthy, Righteous and ABLE! In the name of Jesus, I pray for this sister's total healing. You have done so before, and you can do so now. According to the power that is in Your Name, Oh God, heal my sister's heart and bring joy, peace and satisfaction to this family-- people who believe in You. In Jesus name.

Jodi will report more later I am sure, but her Uncle Jim just called...he and my SIL were with Katie this morning before the heart cath...

All went well...Jim told her after, "A lot of prayer went up between the first report and now..."

We are believing God for a speedy recovery and complete healing...thank you all for your prayers.
