Mornings are the very best part of the day. :)

You sound like my husband. He is very much a morning person and since his accident he can't get up and get going like he wants to. It is very unsettling for him!

I'm with you! My husband is all cheery and ready to go and I'm like - "Could you please stop talking so loud!"
:ursofunny
I felt bad about that until I heard Brother Kilgore saying that about his wife. "Honey, could you please stop talking until I drink my coffee."

Mornings are my best part of the day as far as mental acuity goes, and that's a blessing. But I sure hate startin' 'em. Would much rather delay the blessing. Hit the snooze!

For me it all depends.... I feel like the Garfield when he said, "I hate to go to bed at night and I hate to get up in the morning"
This morning, I was up before the sun, ready to go, and had my children up out of bed also. They were not too happy because it wasn't even light out! I am generally always in a very happy mood. My middle child and I went on a beautiful chilly walk! It was so peaceful that time of morning! I love the scenery around here.
Even though I like my sleep, I always get a lot more done when I'm am up early! If I stay in bed until I feel like getting up, I am sluggish most of the day and I do not get much done!

I am not truly a morning person. I have to be at work at 7 a.m. PST. But I am up at 4:30 no later than 4:45 and at the gym by 5:00 no later than 5:10. Work out hard and get a shower and head to work. Every day is the same except Saturdays and Sundays. On Saturdays I get up usually around 8:00 or 9:00 then hit the gym and maybe go golfing. Sundays are my day of rest from the gym. But I am up early anyway cause I attend the morning service at my church, 8:30 a.m. then it is relaxation all day. Now there is alot of family time mixed in there, FYI.

Pre-child, I was generally a happy person in the morning. Now that I am still getting up multiple times a night with my daughter, I really wish she would let me sleep in just a little longer.

Hmm. I guess I'm choice #2, because I like mornings, but I don't like the waking up part. Once I'm up and about, though, I'm good to go.
When I get a good night's sleep, I'm choice #1.
My husband is one of those morning grumps, but that's because he stays up to all hours working on his websites and then wonders why he's tired when he has to get up at 6:30 to get ready for work! Who could feel happy with 4 hours sleep??? Not me!

Even as a child, I hated getting up in the morning for school; later I hated getting up for work. It would be nearly impossible for me to get to Church on Sunday morning unless I did all my prep work on Sat night..like a bath, washing my hair, laying out my clothes, etc.
My body begins to come alive around 11 am.
I used to be good to go on four hours sleep. Now I need at least 6 or 7 hours. Anything less, and it's next to impossible to get motivated in the mornings to do anything!!
Last night we were at church till nearly 11pm... by the time we got in bed, it was midnight. This morning when the alarm clock went off at 4:45-- hubby rolled over, picked up the phone and called into work.. told them to mark him down for half a day of vacation. He reset the clock, got up at 8:30-- and went to work to clock in at 10am. :D He doesn't do that often.... in fact, I can't even remember any time in the last 10 years that he's just laid out of work for the morning... LOL Usually if he misses work at all, he's too sick to even get out of bed-- and has to have help to get to the doctors office. So I'm not complaining... besides, it was nice to get to have an hour with him this morning before he went to work. We sat in the office and watched the birds playing in the yard.
I did tell him when he comes in this afternoon, he better take a nap-- because we have another night of youth revival tonight... and he can't take the morning off again tomorrow. :D

I have to get up fairly early every day to do home school with my daughter. But I like to get up and have a a couple of cups of coffee and enjoy the quiet before anyone else gets up. I hat talk first thing in the morning.
Oh and did I wake up grouchy this morning?

Well I literally roll out of bed, change into work out clothes and step on my treadmill (which is right next to my bed) and put in 30 to 60 minutes.
My Attitude differs from day to day. Sometimes its "Ughhhh...why in the world do I subject myself to this????" Othertimes its "If I do an extra 5 minutes, I can have cheese on my sandwhich at lunch" :D

:hypercoffeeI am more of an afternoon/evening person. Mornings begin properly with a cup of coffee, followed by another cup, which is then followed by another cup, ad nauseum... Do I sound redundant? Oh, and don't forget something to wash it down with. :donuts

I hate you. Sorry. This is my reaction to the alarm going off- :tantrum.
My heater has been on the fritz, so my daughter has been sleeping with me until it is fixed, we are using a space heater in my room. Anyway, she gets up at 3:30 (A.M.!!!!!!) because she has to be at work at 4:15.
It is like some kind of nightmare when her alarm starts going off. She cracks up because my arm goes swinging around trying to find out what the noise is to make it stop.
I generally start to make sense about 4:00 (P.M.).

I wake up early, even on the weekend. I think it's from getting up for so many years at 5:30am. I'm not a morning person....until after I have either my tea or coffee:bored. I'm not chatty until that sinks into my blood stream:party.
My husband on the other hand wakes up and immediately is singing or jabberjawing a mile a minute..... He cracks me up, I think we balance each other out nicely :friend.

I voted "Other". I have an internal clock that wakes me up. I rarely use an alarm clock.
My schedule:
* I wake up at approximately 5:30 a.m.
* Go to the rr and wash my hands
* Make a pot of coffee
* Turn on the computer
* Pour my coffee
* Take my meds
* Read my devotional, Bible, and then pray for 30 minutes
* Turn on the news "Fox & Friends"
* Get a bath & get dressed
* 7 a.m. I leave to go to work
I am a morning person. I love my 'quiet' time and time with the Lord.
I start the day out with a song on my heart.
You may say, "TMI", but whatever...this is my schedule:).
Blessings, Rhoni

My wifes consistent response to any attempts to wake her up is "Five more minutes"
Of course it requires several to get the job done. :)
The 3 kids are the easy ones to rouse. My wife is the struggle. LOL

I am NOT a morning person at all. Hubby says you can't find a pulse on me to til after noon. He's a morning person. I HATE morning people, all cheerful and smiley and all talkative.....YUCK!!!! Ya'll just need a swift kick to the seat of the britches.

Ok well after today I think my vote has changed! Normally let me sleep 20 more min and I will be fine however........... Today! I was up half a dozen times at least with my grandmother last night and we didnt get her home from the hospital until at least 1045 last night and ohhhhhh mercy... My poor dad...Me and all the kids stayed there last night to take care of granny and he got home from work to wake me to get the kids off to school and he said that was worse than his worst day of all my years at home waking me up! LOL
I guess I went all bullistic on him and was hollering about that he just needed to retire and take care of his own mom that I had already taken care of mine and would have to take care of him eventually too... I guess I was the one who much should have stayed in bed this morning... thing is I remember none of this... might have something to do with the fact I have had about 5 hrs sleep all week!!!

Well, I have worked at it from every angle, read books, taken herbal supplements, changed my sleeping patterns and finally realized that it didn't matter if I had gotten 12 hours of sleep, or 3 hours sleep, I wake up feeling exactly the same. So, I gave up, surrendered to my evil altar-ego morning personality.
